FOO FIGHTERS Perform 'In The Clear' On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (Video)

November 20, 2014

FOO FIGHTERS performed their new song "In The Clear" on yesterday's (Wednesday, November 19) edition of the hit syndicated talk program "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". Check out video footage of their appearance below.

As previously reported, FOO FIGHTERS' new album, "Sonic Highways", sold around 190,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The CD arrived in stores on November 10 but was held off by Taylor Swift's "1989" spending its third week in the top spot. The FOO FIGHTERS' previous outing, 2011's "Wasting Light", was the band's first No. 1, selling 235,000 copies in its first week.

"Sonic Highways" was recorded in eight different iconic studios in eight different cities over the course of a year.

The band laid down the music for the album in cities that have a great musical history and invited local legends to contribute to the sessions as well.

The results have been chronicled in an eight-part HBO documentary series, also called "Sonic Highways", that frontman Dave Grohl directed.

Earlier this week, FOO FIGHTERS confirmed the details of the band's biggest North American tour ever, which will hit arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums in the summer and fall of 2015, beginning in Washington D.C. on July 4.
